The Busiest Day in Laughter Town

T7

By James GreenPublished about a year ago 1 min read

In a place where laughter's sold,

The owner's tale shall now be told.

On March 31st, the busiest day,

The shop was packed in every way.

The customers all made such a din,

The owner could not help but grin.

For business was quite simply grand,

A rush of jokes at his command.

With every purchase, joy was spread,

A carnival of laughter in its stead.

But as the night wore on and waned,

A thought occurred, and the owner pained.

"What if this mirth, it all subsides?

And with it, all my earnings hides?"

Yet as he pondered this dark thought,

A customer came in, laughter brought.

So he smiled, and told a joke,

And knew, no matter what, he'd cope.

For in that joke shop, every day,

Laughter was the price, the toll to pay.
