The beginning and the end of a matter.

It began, as many tales then do.

That eager hope for something more,

That dream, an aspiration, a daring venture,

That none would dare speak of or mention,

Lest they be labeled a madman, and a fool.

Yet, that, is how great journeys start.

Nigh impossible odds with rewards so seemingly out of reach,

And some brave soul willing to whether the storm,

To obtain that which was deemed impossible,

A testimony, worth telling to generations yet to come.

Great journeys, do not begin with hope,

Nor do they endure joyfully throughout their entirety,

They begin with unexpected turmoil,

With shadows that creep in near the unsuspecting eye.

Epic deeds performed by ordinary folk,

Are not found in the slaying of dragons,

Or the conquering of giants whose size tower the heavens.

They are found in the simple acts of kindness and love,

That continue to prosper, no matter the time or season.

Great journeys begin and end with a heart that pursues love,

No matter the trials we face, or the storms we weather.
