The panda winked at me

As if she understood I,

She looks at me and smiles.

I smile back at her.

The Ancient Panda of China,

Waves to her family to join her

In the Beautiful Bamboo Garden.

“Ni-hao,” I say to the panda’s family,

And the baby pandas came

Tackling and tumbling towards me

As they got up,

They each greeted me

With a warm hug and kisses.

Black and white fur

That’s so clean when it’s washed.

Feeding on bamboo,

While the Chinese Ocean breeze

Flows through the air.

Hiccupping from drinking too fast,

Rolling down the hill,

Was quite the blast.

I could sit and study,

Here all day,

Because they’re pretty interesting,

If I must say.

Thou’ I don’t know her name,

She will always be to me,

The Ancient Panda of China.
