This poem book the 28 years is based on something I went through. I hope you enjoy reading it.

I was only ten

When I fell for you then

I was frightened and alone

But also full of hope.

I was so young

I didn't know what love was

Or what it felt like to love.

I was a child of God.

You were the opposite side.

But you conquered my world.

I was vulnerable

I was naive

To believe all they said to me.

They said you hated me

Because of what I believed in.

They said I would die for it.

I was afraid of you then

I was only ten.
