Thanksgiving regardless

If I should express gratitude,

Or offer thanksgiving on this day,

Let my heart reflect on each and every day that has passed,

And rejoice, regardless of rain or shine.

Prosperity or adversity, peace or conflict,

Love or hatred, faithfulness or treachery,

My heart should reflect and rejoice in every circumstance,

Regardless of how beneficial or detrimental the circumstances may be.

Thankful, regardless of how or why, what, where or when,

Or regardless if it has been, is, or I am waiting for something yet to be.

As a drink offering with a hearty song,

Let me heart be thankful, on this day.
