Taste

a love story

at the end of the day, i love

a reprieve

some enjoy wine, others

chocolate, or a smoke

i like chocolate as much as the next girl, but

we eat ours in the dark with

strawberries and cream

no wine here, or smokes

she likes cream and i like the berries,

they're supposed to go together but

no one knows to care

what i like is the contrast, the dance of flavours

as a berry is tart and the chocolate is sweet, and

her skin

salty, but only just right

and the quiver, and the moan, just as palpable

moreso

nothing like the

taste of love

love poems
