surreal poetry
Surrealist poetry embodies the essence of poetry itself, drawing upon shocking imagery and lyrical incongruities to comment on the inner-workings of the mind.

Poetry
What do you think poetry is? Is it the arrangement of words that sound nice together or is it something more profound? I think that poetry is a paradoxical form of art. It can be read by millions of people but only a few seem to truly grasp its meaning. Perhaps that is the beauty of poetry, the way it can hint at something much deeper than what is explicitly stated. The way it leaves room for interpretation. It is as if poetry is a mirror that reflects not only the poet's emotions but also the reader's.

Dishonest Backstabber. Top Story - May 2023.
She wandered through the forest Scavenged for her pieces Lub-dub... lub-dub... lub-dub... Their symphony summoned her ~~~~~ Though shattered into pieces They each retained their lives Scintillated with each beat Inklings for their locations ~~~~~ Discovered them one by one Scattered haphazardly around Embraced them while bawling Soon to be unscathed and hers again ~~~~~ They were dying embers Rather than a sempiternal inferno She had to restore them all alone Self isolated in a forest cottage ~~~~~ Arduous jigsaw pieces They repelled each other Refused to convalesce To become pristine again ~~~~~ Nursed it relentlessly for Nine years The phobics slowly became philics Only a few pieces more to be adhered For her heart to look brand new ~~~~~ One day, a Sailer arrived unbidden She never questioned the absurdity Although the sea was far away Always gave the benefit of the doubt ~~~~~ He promised her a Magic Glue called Love Guaranteed to agglutinate the remaining pieces She travelled far and wide with him For the sake of her heart, she trusted him ~~~~~ Came a long way from the forest To the sea with so much faith in him It all happened so fast yet in slow motion He tied her up to his anchor ~~~~~ He let it plunge down and watched her sink As her soul dissociated from her body She vowed to haunt him forever Cursed him to suffer an eternal living hell
