love poems
Love poems for hopeless romantics; I'm the poet and you're my muse.
Self-Love
In the mirror, I see my face, A reflection of strength, a quiet grace. Through every flaw and every scar, I learn to love just who you are. No need for others to validate, The love I give won't hesitate. For in my heart, I’ve learned to find, A peace within, both pure and kind. I lift myself with every fall, Stand taller after feeling small. Embrace the journey, long and wide, With self-love always by my side. I honour the battles I have won, For I am enough, just as I’ve begun. No need to search, no need to hide, I hold my worth, with arms open wide.

The Morning After (I fall deeper with every thing you do.)
It isn't the blinding sun that jars me awake (you closed the curtains because you know I despise the sun before 8am), but the gentle symphony of your sweet nothings, whispers in my hair, and the morning bird (I swear it's singing Love Me For the Both of Us).

Washing her hair
My eyes lose themselves in unruly cascades of raspberry brunette seduction just two shades lighter than the luminous orbs that are her eyes, setting off a jaw and cheekbone that make me weak at the knees, and my heart skips a beat, but she calls me to task

Compassionate Love
In gentle whispers, love takes flight, A steady flame through darkest night. It heals the wounds we cannot see, A gift of grace, eternally. Through every tear, it softly flows, In every heart, compassion grows. No need for words, no need for pride, For in this love, all fears subside. It gives without a thought of gain, A balm for sorrow, joy through pain. A selfless act, a hand that stays, Through storm and calm, through nights and days. Compassionate love, pure and true, In every touch, it starts anew. A bond that time cannot unmake, The love we give, the love we take.
