Goodbye, Ice Queen. Top Story - July 2026.
I'm thawing the part of my heart that belonged to you Not because I miss you Because I don't Not because I love you Though, reluctantly, I do But because, someday, that part won't belong to you Because, someday, there will be somebody else Somebody more worthy than you Somebody who will treat me better than you They will handle my heart with more care than you They will not judge me like you did They will see me as more worthy than you did And when they come along, I want them To not have to chip away At a frozen heart Just because of what you did

THE SHOP THAT SOLD TOMORROWS
THE SHOP THAT SOLD TOMORROWS I found a little shop one night, with no name upon the door, Its dusty shelves held tomorrows, hundreds, maybe more. Some futures shimmered bright as gold, some faded into grey, Some vanished when I reached for them, then quietly slipped away.

THE LITTLE GOLD RING
THE LITTLE GOLD RING My mam and dad bought me a child’s gold ring when I was one, They had no savings, so I know it must have been hard for them, It sat upon a shelf inside our living room for years, I don’t think I ever wore it, but it was bought with love and care.

tiny shards
He put me on a pedestal And I pompously perched upon it, High and vacuous until He skipped away. I was defeated The pedestal fell What a shock I endured, and I shattered, tiny shards scattering Where did he go? What am I not - to him? What did I do to make him turn his back, not caring to look as I shattered, tiny shards scattering The world twirled day after day Earth rotated purposefully in its orbit The moon waxed and waned until My existence eventually brightened And there were Sunbeams striking hanging crystals, Shining rainbows onto me, and when I shattered, tiny shards scattering, They were multi-colored, scintillating, Revealing my new love standing silently in front of me
