They can break your heart, but they can't break your soul; poetry about lost love that comforts and uplifts.
There once was a heart split in pain, Where love left a lingering stain. Each beat felt the tear, Of a dream laid bare, As it danced in the cold, bitter rain.

There once was a heart torn in two, By a loss that the soul deeply knew. Though the tears often fall, Fond memories still call,
as the sky follows life loses weight sight turns heavy Love swallows pain you are an empty shelf in my library The light for a blind eye

Like a spectral being, I could see you In my rearview mirror Sitting behind the passenger seat and smoking Your always present Marlboro Reds

"DANIEL" That's the last thing I heard before I went under. My father had always told me, "Don't be a hero." But for her, she was more than just my hero. She was the air in my lungs. She was the light of my day. She brought color to my life. How can I call myself a man if I let the love of my life get bashed by such rogue waves without lifting a finger? The waves didn't take long to give me the same treatment as they did her. But who would I be if I gave in now? I pushed and pushed and pushed. Until I felt like I was on the verge of breaking. Until my lungs filled with water. Until the burning turned into numbness. Until the tears no longer flowed. Finally, my hand grasped hers. But why does she feel so cold? Why couldn't I have been the hero she was to me, even if only for a second?

My fault, I guess... You let me pass leaving your wife ahead of you (in my head, more stress). * You smiled; me too. What else could I do?

A bottle full, leaves you empty. A bottle empty, leaves you full- of hateful codependency, A reliance writhed so heftily.

Heavy rain fell the moment I left, as if the sky shared my loneliness. The drops on my face almost tasted— salty, warm—

If tomorrow starts without me, Please know that I'm still here, In the letters I'll never send, And the words you’ll hold dear.

Though your name is just three letters, Your understanding holds the world. Two hands, but countless masterpieces, Every glance, a touch of love unfurled.

Like hot oil splashing from the pan, our passion sears and stings. Your caress, a flame I dance around, afraid to be consumed.
