A Mother's Light

Guiding Us Through Life's Journey

By Kandage Vimukthi Reshan DulakshanaPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

Though your name is just three letters,

Your understanding holds the world.

Two hands, but countless masterpieces,

Every glance, a touch of love unfurled.

You adorned our lives with endless care,

A love so vast, beyond compare.

Through every trial, you stood tall,

Wishing us joy, enduring it all

You’re more than a mother, you're divine,

A goddess with strength, so pure, so fine.

Through pain, you brought us into light,

A force so strong, a guiding might.

I ask just this, if paths should part,

Don’t seek Nirvana, stay within my heart.

In every life, in every way,

Be my mother, come what may.
