heartbreak
They can break your heart, but they can't break your soul; poetry about lost love that comforts and uplifts.
Letters I Never Sent
I wrote my thoughts on paper, But they never reached your door, Folded up like secret dreams, Now lost forevermore. I wrote of love, of missing you, Of moments we once shared, But these letters stayed with me, Unopened, unprepared. Each line held hopes I couldn’t say, Locked away inside, The paper aged, the words grew cold, As time passed us by. They sit here still, untouched, unread, Faded with the years, Like promises I never made, And feelings turned to fears. I wonder if you’d understand, The things I never said, But now it’s just too late to know, The past is gone instead. So here they lie, these letters lost, In shadows where they hide, The words that never found their way, Still waiting deep inside.

The Lonely Girl
She walks alone in fading light, Through quiet streets and endless night. The stars above seem far away, But their soft glow still lights her way. Her shadow moves along the ground, But not a soul can hear a sound. The world goes on, life doesn’t wait, In silence, she faces her fate. She hopes for someone by her side, To hold her hand and stay the night. But there she stands, apart, unseen, A lonely girl with fragile dreams. Yet in her eyes, there’s still a spark, A little light within the dark. She knows that after all the rain, The sun will always rise again.

The Good Moments…
I’ll just hold on to the good moments the precious moments that passed between us. They were real. There is no reason why they couldn’t be. The ending does not dictate the journey. The journey is the journey no matter how it ends. Had it not happened this way would the journey be different? Would I be questioning its validity? The clear answer is no. So I won’t question it now. I’ll hold on to those precious moments and the moments in between. They were real..
