heartbreak
They can break your heart, but they can't break your soul; poetry about lost love that comforts and uplifts.
A letter to my dad
Dear Dad, I sat holding your hand in the hospital all night when you died. I wasn’t ready for this; I still need you by my side. Cancer, pulling you to heaven's door—please don’t go, Dad; stay a while more. How can a heart so beautiful die? I don’t need anybody, Dad, just you and I.

WHISPERS OF CHANGE
I didn’t change; you’re just finally seeing what it looks like when I’m not in love with you. You’ve never known me without the softness that love brought. You’re shocked that I’m not bothered by the communication. The cold replies and me not giving a damn about what you do,you are scared I’ve moved on and that’s something you can’t handle. It scares me too sometimes, just how little I care now. I used to think I’d always feel something, but here we are — and it’s all quiet on my end.
