heartbreak
They can break your heart, but they can't break your soul; poetry about lost love that comforts and uplifts.
Blood Stained the Hands I Trusted
I gave you More than words More than promises I gave my soul But you Held knives Behind smiles And empty eyes The blood Wasn’t mine But it stained My hands anyway You whispered truths Wrapped in lies And I Believed Every damn word But trust Is fragile Like glass And you Broke it Not with force But with silence With cold And absence I searched For reasons In the wreckage Of what we were But some betrayals Don’t need answers They just need To be felt And remembered Now I carry wounds Invisible But burning Like fire beneath skin Because blood Doesn’t only come From pain done by strangers Sometimes It’s spilled By those You called Family

They Called It a Crime to Feel
Love Was banned First Then laughter Then tears Then everything in between We lived In a city Where smiling Needed a permit Where heartbeats Were tracked Like weapons In quiet chests They came For those who cried And labeled grief As a threat I saw a boy Arrested Because his eyes Refused to lie He whispered “I miss her” Once And never spoke again The news said He vanished But we knew What silence meant We wore Blank faces Like uniforms Nothing too high Nothing too deep Even joy Had a curfew Even sorrow Had a price Some of us Learned to cry With our backs To the wall To scream Without breath To love In pieces But there were rebels Those who still wrote In dark corners Of paper hearts They passed poems Like weapons Folded In cracked palms We read them Alone Each word A spark beneath the ice And in that frozen world Where feeling was forbidden We knew Emotion Was the final form of rebellion

They Left Like It Was Easy
They left Like it was nothing Like goodbye Was just another word No tremble No second glance Just silence Dragging its feet behind them I waited Like fools do Thinking maybe They’d come back For something they forgot But they didn’t And I became The thing They forgot I replayed it A hundred times The last moment The last sound The way Their shadow Didn’t even Look back Pain Doesn’t always scream Sometimes It just sits quietly At the edge of your bed They said nothing And somehow That silence Cut deeper Than words ever could I tried To hate them But instead I hated myself For not seeing it coming Was I too much Or not enough? Did they leave Or did I lose? Now, I carry questions Like bricks Stacked behind every smile I walk past places Where they used to laugh And hear echoes Of what never returned They left Like it was easy But I Still unpack the moment Like it holds something I missed
