heartbreak
They can break your heart, but they can't break your soul; poetry about lost love that comforts and uplifts.
Held on
At first I clung so hard to you That I felt the pain as my finger bones shattered my skin was shredded and the muscles rended

Lonely nights for a while now Don’t make me comfortable with myself And you expect that I know how To move on with my love on the shelf

What if I thought before I spoke, Would you still be here? What if you learned more than you lied, Would I have more patience?

Shallow But still I sink It’s so heavy My head is still above water But my mind is drowning Choking, I hold on To the thought of you…

It takes a village to raise a child, they say. Yours was very big with a even bigger heart. They gave you everything, but didn't lose themselves in the process. You saw their flaws, the highs and lows, But you also felt their intense warmth. They were a safe space devoid of judgement. You stepped out of the cocoon, not because you wanted to. You had to because you have to find out who you are. Your person, your purpose, your path. You would never forget the fire you left with. The heart replete with love to give. You stepped out into the world, And the ice stunned you The arrows in the air scared you. The clouds in the sky made your path dark. You looked at others and wondered, "Don't these armours get too heavy? Don't these walls block out the light after the storm is passed?" You eventually found a semblance of home in someone. A wounded man, who needed a healing balm. So you gave him what you had been given. A piece of your heart until you had nothing left. But hurt people hurt people It didn't take too long for the embers to die. The ice didn't take long to spread through your veins. The bile didn't take long to poison your soul.

Frozen. Motionless. And I can't move. Time keeps moving, But I feel frozen. It feels as if things are in fact changing, But why does it seem like everything is getting worse?

The storms seem to shutter, souls, the boy is locked in his mind to suffer. He lost his abusive father as a kid, no one left
Troy
Journeying beyond the tall hedge maze Searching for you through the haze Still under the spell of our place Your quaint cottage was love’s base

A rose in a jar symbolizing love How first we feel when we go out hand in glove A thing of beauty seen from above Two birds in flight with the wings of a dove

In shadows cast by vows once strong, A tale of love, now veiled in wrong. Where hearts entwined, now torn apart, By love's deception, a wounded heart.
