I am afraid this time, that it's too late

She sat waiting for my return

I wasted the flowers she loved, on her grave

*

Watching as the cars went by, still I chose to make her wait

Hoping in her drive, my car would turn

I am afraid this time, that it's too late

**

Too blind to see it was her heart I'd break

To selfish to be concerned

I wasted the flowers she loved, on her grave

**

Loving me through all of my mistakes

But I was too busy to be disturbed

I am afraid this time, that it's too late

**

How many heartbreaks can one body take

I was a fool to be so self absorbed

I wasted the flowers she loved, on her grave

**

If I could turn back the clock, and have one more day

I would show her how she was adored

I am afraid this time, that it's too late

I wasted the flowers she loved, on her grave
