Fast-paced race A chase Don't fall Watch your feet As you move Try to sooth The agitation Brought on by Frustration
It washes over me like a scouring rag The beeps and rings nag On my ears and the tears on the other end Don't pretend to be anything but a constant cortisol eruption
Patience at a time when things are hard It's so weird to have such an odd start When sickness sets in it's a whole different game
Time slips by like a puddle on the floor I slip Then dip A subtle trip And years go by in that one movement What I meant
Wonderful things planned long ago From the beginning, a continuous ebb and flow I will exhaust you and honor your will Taking my cup and taking my fill
