Boys holding knives,

To the count of five,

Are met with pearly whites,

Of a girl refusing flight.

Color is born in the light,

But it’s best seen at night.

Red hues are the backdrop of every important fight.

My aunt calls me sunshine and,

That's just what I do.

Rainbows are rain clouds with,

Light shining through.

I've held the grey to my wrist but,

I've never followed through.

Bravery bursts black

Like the air I peppered

In my room.

I'm determined to reside,

With a smile, and my pride,

But every time a man buys a ticket,

There's a woman to take the ride.

I am One Size Fits All;

You use it,

To pick on your own size.

But I live salt red,

Fire Orange,

My Aunt Calls Me

Sunshine.
