Sunlight

Skirting the shadows, I create my own.

Cast upon the floors and walls.

In the absence of light, the smallest detail is defined, even the outline of some stray hairs play across the surface.

Casually I strike a pose, lifting my heel and tossing back my head. Giving me reason to smile at the image on the floor.

Slowly, playfully, I watch my negative follow my every move , swishing my dress and spinning, dancing along with me in unison.

My playfulness slips away as I think about my original task. Continuing on

I enter the darkness and it dissolves. Leaving no trace.
