I wanted to write a poem about the night

but, instead, I wrote about the brilliance of the sun

How its golden fire burns against the azure skies

Without it, the world would be cold

Without it, there would be no happiness, no celebration

The earth would hang abandoned;

A dark and frozen plain without the sun and all its radiance.
