Here she comes, dressed in white
Blushing, she’s a beautiful sight
Eyes in the shade of Alexandrite
She rules the day without a fight
Her gown is seeded with pearls
And moonstones deck her curls
With roses in her bouquet
She stoops to pet her Bombay
She’s early, so she waits
She knows to listen to the Fates
With the scent of woodbine all around
She twirls round and round
In her goat-skinned cloak lined with peacock feathers
Using her hand, her dress’s hem she gathers
Preparing her march
Toward the entry’s arch
Ready for love
Already won the Golden Glove
So don’t take her for a wimp
Her war cry will make you limp
She packs the heat
Never once did she cheat
So don’t take her domesticity for a weakness
That’s just part of her uniqueness
She’ll fight for those in her affection
Under all that dressed-up perfection
She’s at the ready in her war leathers
Tie her down; she’ll break the tethers
Like the mighty oak, she stands tall
Never can she be shaken at all
Looking left to right
She’s an impressive sight
Bow to your empress
Like the eternal cypress
She endures until her time
To exalt her, most sublime
Lying at her feet
Figs for her to eat
Fertility
Responsibility
Taking on the job
With the ability to handle the mob
She’s the one
Who has won
The groom
So make room
For she’s busting out of her cocoon
Here comes June
