A fresh strawberry from the summer trees

Are red, ripe and no longer green.

This one was handpicked to be

Washed, sliced, diced and blended

With whole milk, whipped cream and

bananas for a beautiful milkshake!

Another strawberry freshly sprout

Is another that’s about to come out.

It dosen’t really give a damn

That it’s going to be damson jam.

The old strawberries, withered and dry

Is not destined to become compost just yet

It’s figure is preserved as it forms an orchestra

With raisins, apricots, and oat clusters.

They call their band, granola.
