Wind today

And rain

With snow

Sleet and hail

Today started as a normal day

Until the clouds came in

Change was imminent

And realized

Something to be accepted

Even far into the night

Like many others this night was calm

A full moon shone brilliantly

Lighting up the darkened sky

The plum tree in the yard

Remained at ease

Yet it’s fruit was strewn all around

The only remaining sign

That a storm had come to pass

The fence remained unchanged

Pure, crisp, white, and the same

Grass held the remnants of the rain

Showing no signs of things afoul

And so a new day became quietly
