Still

The stillness still strikes.

By Harleen 🤎Published 2 years ago • Updated 2 years ago • 1 min read

Darling,

The moon is still,

And

The moon is still

the moon

In all of its phases.

Darling,

I am still,

And I am still here

Despite all of your curses.

And I see you,

Inching away an inch a day.

And how the earth’s shadow on the moon is invisible, I didn’t see the cloud over your head, pelting you with raindrops not quiet frozen,

But still so

Cold and unwanted.

I am sorry you feel that way, just be still a little more

while

I wanna memorize every wrinkle, every mark,

if its ever taken away

If you’re ever gone too soon,

Just as the moon says good morning and fades into the horizon

Stay a while longer

Don’t get smudged by your oblivion.
