This past year was full of blight
Make covid 19 take deep flight
Away as it changes our plight

As the year rebounds anew
As our dreams surround the night
Taking us back to what's due
Step into the light
A new year is born
New loves are torn
As new details become a slight
Step into the light
With bundles of joy
Kick-off the new year right
Full of gifts that include new toys
Step into the light
With the knowledge that awaits
As we learn from our common mistakes
With everything in pure site
