All that has come before
Bears witness to what has been
We must raise the courage to step in
Time is the teacher and wisdom the sand
We try to hold it as it slips through our hand
Each moment we count like each breath
Calculating time to find what we have left
Seeking the way where we can win step in
Lay you head and cast your cares
As if the plight of the world was not there
Hope rises like the breeze through the trees
Sometimes the answer only comes when your on your knees
Believe only the things which you can see
The mind grapples with how can this be
A architect imagines long before he builds
It takes fortitude and faith behind the human will
Still we barter as we seek the way which we win
Faith is like the doorway we have to step in
