Spellbound

Victims, aren't we all

Tonight again

your magic caught the spider in a web

of unresolvable complexity

victims, aren't we all

pulsing to the beat

of Jim Morrison's profound revelations

music, the language of unspoken truth

heartbeats in the dark

raindrops in the park

despair found me flying

a thousand miles east

to wander through foreign but familiar trees

in the wilderness beside Slide Lake

wrapped in your jacket

still searching for you

I reached out in silence

and found you, my soulmate

standing there beside me

the power of your invisible presence

killed every other thought

except the urge to join you

you touched my heart

with a thousand sparks

I ran to pick up the phone

five minutes late

I missed your call.

Glad you have enjoyed "Spellbound"! When we are caught in the spider web of love and passion sometimes it's impossible to see beyond it.
