Speaking Your Truth

Radicalized is not politicized,

ideologized, polarized.

It is not an ism,

not a schism.

It's finding your voice

in all the noise

and speaking it loud and clear

without fear.

Well, maybe a little fear

but you do it

anyway

because you must

because you trust

that staying true to you

will lead you to

the places you were meant to be,

the places you were meant to see,

the places that will set you free

of living small

to fit the mold that others made.

But you’re too big

for the mold

too bold

for holding back,

so speak your truth,

go big, attack

the lies,

unwise

though it may be.
