Soul Rising

Truth be told, it's all a dream
Beliefs aren't always what they seem
Your soul straddles the line between
Two worlds: the seen and unseen
When the mind spins off into lies
Beguiled by a wolf donning a sheep's disguise
Pulling down the wool over your eyes
Obscuring clarity, rendering decisions unwise
On and on and on it goes
Plunging you deeper into the darkest of throes
Suffocating, inundating, humiliating
The dream is now a nightmare in the making
But from this death-like depth does the soul rise
Surging through with light studded armor to advise
To awaken from the dream, breaking sensory chains
See without sight, feel without touch, know without thought
To discern what goes and what remains
