“Farewell,” said Sorrow.

“Greetings,” said Joy.

“Never more,” said Sorrow.

“For forever,” said Joy.

Sorrow lamented,

“I will never again

Cloud your heart or

Weight your spirit.”

Joy sang,

“Ever-more will you

Be at peace, with

Lightness of heart.”

“I bid you farewell,”

Wept Sorrow.

“I bid you welcome,”

Laughed Joy.

“No more tears

But those of

Gladness will

Be let here.”

And Joy takes

You in her arms,

While Sorrow

Waves you adieu.
