Songs of the Brokenhearted:

Finding Beauty in the Pain

Broken hearts have nowhere to go,

Lost in the abyss, sinking low.

A pain that’s sharp, a wound that’s deep,

A soul that’s shattered, with nothing to keep.

Where do they turn, these shattered souls?

When every step feels like a thousand tolls.

Do they seek solace in the dark of night?

Or do they face the pain, and hold on tight?

The tears, they fall like endless rain,

As they try to heal, but feel only pain.

They seek a way to numb the ache,

But find no respite, only more heartbreak.

The memories of what once was,

Haunt them still, like a phantom buzz.

The laughter, the love, all now gone,

Leaving them with nothing to hold on.

But in the depths of their despair,

A flicker of hope, a light that’s rare.

A glimmer of light, a ray of sun,

That reminds them of the battles won.

For broken hearts may feel like they’re alone,

But they are not, they are not on their own.

There are others who have felt this way,

And they have found a path, a brighter day.

So take heart, dear broken one,

And know that your pain is not undone.

But it will fade, with each passing day,

And soon you’ll find your own bright way.

A way that’s new, a way that’s true,

A way that’s filled with joy anew.

A way that’s yours, a way that’s bright,

A way that leads you to the light.

And though the scars may never fully heal,

And though the hurt may still reveal,

Know that your heart will grow anew,

Stronger than ever, and pure like dew.

For broken hearts have nowhere to go,

But they will find a way, that much we know.

And when they do, they’ll shine so bright,

A testament to the power of love and light.
