Song of Tomorrow
A Cry for Hope. Sing Along.
At the edge of the lake,
a woman cries.
She bellows in hope.
Her passionate prayers take to the skies.
The sun begins to set despite her words,
her power and command.
So she sings out louder,
digging her feet deeper into the sand.
Her song of tomorrow will be heard,
She knows this to be sure.
For the magic in her heart
Makes her melody so pure.
The waves begin to loudly applaud her
And the birds harmonize in praise.
The breeze caresses her face in thanks
As the clouds dance with rainbows among the suns setting rays.
As the skies darken around her
The moon begins to rise
The stars appear to sing with her
And sparkle in the tears in her eyes.
She softly sings her courageous song
As the night slowly takes its hold
She sings it anyone who will listen,
The young, downtrodden and the old.
Her tears melt in the starlight
As the moon makes her glow
She beams greatly with pride
For her song let everyone know...
The song of tomorrow
is of love and of pain.
It speaks to your soul;
To a higher plain.
It’s melody sings truth
Seen deep in her eyes
It begs you to be yourself
To remove all disguise.
Her lyrics tell of heartache,
Fear and despair.
And the wisdom of knowing these
True love you can share.
Her words are universal,
Her message so real,
She pleads think with your heart,
And think what you feel.
Grow through what you go through.
Don’t give in to the pain,
For how could you enjoy the sunlight
If you can’t dance in the rain?
The skies understood her,
It cried torrential rain.
For it knew she knew love
For she had also known pain.
From family, friends and lovers
And from enemies too.
She learned to push through the hurt
And lead with love too.
Her words are to inspire.
Her voice soars like a lark,
For she knows to love the light,
You must embrace the dark.
Her song of tomorrow
Will ask you to fight.
For it’s a revolution
And you must stand for what is right.
Her song of tomorrow
Will set your spirit free,
For she knows we all have the will
To make the best tomorrow to be.
