A Plagiaristic Poetry Piece Based On Titles By Edgar Allen Poe
This is a sonnet based on the stories and poems of Edgar Allen Poe, I did a retake of Poe's poem "The Raven" that follows this poem
I don't interpret the titles but I have kept these rhymes dark, hopefully in the style of the great man.

Introduction I started watching the series Britannia and fell in love because it was the best earth magic TV series since Robin of Sherwood in the eighties. David Morrisey ad a Roman General in his best "ultimate bastard" mode and McKenzie Crook and two Druids, one a violent malevolent goth and one a violent malevolent non-goth.

Full Contentment
I saw a turtle with its shell against the sunโsoaking in the pleasantries that drifted along the mellow winds. The turtle's little head was held high, eyes closedโnot in smugnessโbut in full contentment. I wished to be that unbothered as I walked by hastily, even though I had no destination impatient for my arrival. The turtle on the rock by the rippling water gave me hope, something to look forward toโthat I too could be that content if I allowed myself to be, with my head held high, and no worries to speak of. So I continued my walk at a slower pace and the turtle continued to sunbathe in bliss.

Dog Number 13
May 15, 2023 Strange things are happening. Good-strange, bad-strange, and strange-strange. For starters, me and all my litter mates are able to stand. Some of us can even wiggle around in a clumsy manner. I say wiggle because it isnโt quite walking but it isnโt quite crawling. We just sort of stand and wiggle and fall and take a few steps and then crawl and then get up again. It is in this manner we are able to move around to some degree and explore our surroundings. Naturally we cannot go far. Which is ok, I suppose, because I am very small and I need my mother for food and my siblings to keep me warm and I feel very loved and comforted by them in some way, so I donโt know why I would need to go very far. Having four legs, I must admit, is very strange. It is not a surprise to me that it is challenging to coordinate them to move in the order they need to move. But I can get around a little bit, my eyes can stay open for much longer periods of time now, and it is easier to understand what is happening. So this is new.

You had me going with the title. I almost looked up "Poelagiaristic" before I read the subtitle, lol. I have to disagree about black cats, however. We had some when I was growing up that were extremely friendly. My younger brother would drape one of them over his neck like a stole & go for a walk. The cat would just stay there, sleeping & purring.
