How happy is the blue sea!

Does the sea make you shiver?

does it?

Tunicates, however hard they try,

Will always be small.

Are you upset by how stingy they are?

Does it tear you apart to see the tunicates so weeny?

One afternoon I said to myself,

"Why aren't turtles more small?"

Do turtles make you shiver?

do they?

Limpets, however hard they try,

Will always be zany.

Down, down, down into the darkness of the limpets,

Gently they go - the goofy, the clownish, the unreasonable.

conchs are not eyeless!

conchs are exceptionally ox-eyed.

Conchs are popeyed. conchs are ox-eyed,

conchs are saucer-eyed, however.

How happy are solitary flatworms!

Down, down, down into the darkness of the flatworms,

Gently they go - the lonesome, the ungregarious, the lonely.
