The sky is dirty filthy gray
And shows it has no heart
The spirits all seem to be sad
When it's your life that comes apart
The blue sky is hidden
Clouds are filling your view
Keeping you far away
From what you want to do
If the clouds had a choice
They would stay all day
Your thoughts your hopes your will
Is what pushes them away
The gloomy gray has no chance
When your soul acts fast
The days to come show all
Any setback to you won't last
Your dreams are above the clouds
You've always set them high
To realize and live for today
Means you have found blue sky
To push through and overcome
Is a wonderful sight to see
Your spirit and your beautiful soul
Really deserve to be free.

This is not who I thought I would be. Before my family was captured and forced into slavery, I had aspirations of becoming a wealthy business owner or possibly a scholar and philosopher. Becoming a warrior was the furthest thing from my mind. Unfortunately, our Roman conquerors had other plans.
