Sitting Alone on a Crowded Beach
A lyrical poem from my youth

Sitting alone on a crowded beach
Thinking of you 'cause you're out of reach
Couples holding hands in town
I think of you and start to frown
Standing, staring out my door
I think I love you more and more
Every day I cry and cry
Just 'cause you're not by my side
I hope I'm never seen without you by my side again
An idol on the silver screen
We were meant for the world to see
Like characters in a cast
We have no beginning and no past
A singer on the golden stage
We'll never die, we'll never age
We're all actors in a play
I love you more every day
I hope I'm never seen without you by my side again
