Simon the TikTok Tiger

Simon was a tiger, who felt very alone.

He wanted to make friends, so he went and bought a phone.

He thought, “I’ll post a video, and then they all will see…

The World’s first TikTok Tiger and they’ll all be friends with me.”

So, Simon made a video, of him running along.

He edited his video and added in a song.

When he’d finished editing, and thought it looked just fine,

Simon pressed some buttons, and like that he was now online.

First came one like, then two, then three, then nine hundred and fifty-five

People liked his video, Simon felt alive.

“What a tiger!”, “He’s so cool!”, “I want to be his friend”

The comments came, they filled his feed, it seemed they didn’t end.

Now he needed something fresh, to satisfy his fans.

He dreamed up more videos, he made some lavish plans.

He made a yoga video, to show how he could bend,

Within a minute, Simon found, that he was so on-trend.

The Hippos loved his swimming style, he made the hyenas laugh

The cheeky flamingo loved the one of Simon having a bath.

But he felt a little glum, as the days came to an end.

With all his loyal followers, he wished for a true friend.

The next day, he was filming, lip-syncing a Britney song,

When in the middle, a tiny chimp came wandering along.

Simon growled, “Hey kid, you ruined my video!”

“I’m the World’s first TikTok Tiger, don’t you even know?”

The chimp, said shyly, “My name’s Ernest, a lonely chimpanzee."

"Mister TikTok Tiger, will you be friends with me?”

The tiger’s heart just melted, he put his phone away

Simon and Ernest became real-life friends on that very day.

When Simon’s feeling really good or when he’s feeling glum,

He can talk about it, with Ernest, because now he has a chum.

Now Simon runs, jumps, and plays, with Ernest all day long,

He doesn’t post as much online, well maybe the occasional Britney song.
