Silence is the ending to our song

Silence lives where once was a song

Silence is the ending to our song

Silence lives where once was a song

Crushed beneath the melody of wrong

Words composed and turned to dust

Harmony of memories left to rust

******************************

Shadow lives where once was sun

Eternal night has made dawn run

Blinding trust burned until ash

Brilliant joy murdered in a flash

*******************************

Winter lives where once was Spring

Frosted over dreams no longer sing

Hibernating hope halted from bloom

All that was green now a snowy tomb

**********************************

Fire lives where once was an ocean

Scorching through cherished devotion

Flames reach the ship that wrecked

Smoking until there is nothing left

***********************************
