it only ever gets exciting
when there is nothing up ahead
put the pedal to the metal
put the speedo in the red
doing a hundred and fifty
or more
straight past the latest plan
insanity and finality
they both whisper
dead ahead
just out of reach
just for now
but not so out of hand
i wanna have some...
i wanna have some more fun
i wanna have some...
i wanna have some more fun
before i die
life only ever becomes fun
at the first sign of excess
at the first hint of outrage
as if i would want or expect
nothing else less
a hundred and fifty
becomes a hundred and eighty
my car is working the load
i give it a little bit more
of the everything that’s left
and it feels like
i’m eating the road

Speed is therapeutic! It really does wonders. Loved your poem!
Cool bad boy poetry. Be careful, fun very carefully-ish. I ain't driving witch choo. Me heart can't take the stress. Such fun.
Brilliant mate. Had me driving home from Adelaide again putting her through some risky paces.
Fast piece 👌📝💙💚😎
Great flow here Brenton. I really like this. Good job.
“You got a fast car” I wonder if this is what Tracey Chapman meant
I’ll take a ride in that car! 🚘
