sigma love

or bust

By ⸘jason alan‽Published 2 years ago • 1 min read
"butterflied" jason alan, 2018

near blinded

momentarily

by strategic imitation

be it meat or man

that flattering thief

between me and my one and only

right to my left

gone but still about me

woke by pheromones

my love

and i wouldn't

be the same without

him

squirrelly fingers

in my world

i will live

watching his return to winter

the grave

i found him in

haunted by

ghosts and demons and whispers and gremlins

unconquered by dividing us

even apart we will

never know true zero

try as they might to shade our exponents

the intense reacting

love when we get there

a gamble that i am putting my best

educated bet on

a house is nowhere near

the home he is

or the big bang

and true loving for a long time

thereafter

this began as he

recruited me

for the role for the roll

and i doubted his gift from a universe

far away

granted

as my wish for him

i denied

but he returned

and then he came back

and then he did both again

and again

and again

and again

and i

let myself fall in

love with him

and now i

return

as the burden of asking

not for his blind favor but for forever

and again

and again and again

and again

if i must

until he remembers

about nobody other than

us

our sigma love or bust
