Shut down the world

We the people

Who would have imagined

This could ever happen

Oliver Anthony just gave us anthem

In a country where we watch the flag unfurl

They would one day shut down this world

Speaking to the problems we all feel

We need to bow our heads and kneel

When the children of the nation will ask

Was this all worth saving

Working all day just to pay your dues

Homeless adrift on every corner without a clue

The world crying tears only falls on deaf ears

Wishing those we elected would only hear

Red white and blue watching the flag unfurl

Some are predicting that it will happen again

We the world cannot ignore the signs my friend

It will take a lot more that just solely hoping

Every day we see morals and values eroding

Teach the children we shall not be swayed

We are in the hour coming together can save the day

Standing under the flag watching it unfurl

Our voices will not all the shut down of the world
