Shower

Cleansing of the soul

Sometimes I take a shower

Just to wash off the day

The baggage I’ve picked up

along the way

The anxiety, the fears

The worries, the tears

The sticky residue

Enveloping my flesh

The water is scalding

I accept nothing less

From sunrise to sundown

My mind takes a toll

But immersed in the water

I’m cleansing my soul

Goodbye anxiety goodbye fears

Goodbye worries goodbye tears

To all the ugly from this day

I bid you adieu

And I emerge Refreshed

Reborn, anew.
