Shepherd of the Lonely

Will I find my one and only?

There are plenty of fish in the sea

And its funny how none of them have been for me

I’ve searched all my life

For the one to become my wife

Its stressing me out

Not having someone to care about

I try not to think about it

Even though its like living in a pit

I try to make my escape

But these feelings stick to me like tape

How long will I feel like this?

Days like these are ones I won’t miss

How long will I have to wait

For the one that will be my mate?

I wish I could turn back time

But all I’ve got are rhymes

So I continue to write

No matter how hard I have to fight

Shepherd of the Lonely

Trying to find my one and only

Will I find success

Or a giant big mess?

Its hard to tell a truth from a lie

But I still continue to try

Maybe if I get lucky

My life won’t be so sucky
