She doesn’t want a simp
She wants a beast
Someone who will help her feast
Someone who will conquer enemies
Someone coveted like a lion or king
Not a limp shrimp
She still longs for strength and safety
No matter how strong and independent
She pretends to be
She’ll still be turned Off by vulnerability
Because that’s not what a man should be
And loyalty is only what we conceive it to be
Definitions changing
With our daily understanding
There’s hero’s, victims and prey
Stay alert
For our roles can change
Any given day
What else can I say
Times have changed
But some underlying things
Stay the same
