A Poem of Letdowns

In a world of hopes, where dreams take flight,

I felt a sting, a sadness, like the fading light.

Promises made, but broken like glass,

A letdown feeling, a moment so vast.

I stood on a bridge made of trust,

But it crumbled away, like drifting dust.

Expectations high, like a balloon in the sky,

Now it's popped, and I'm asking why.

A friend or two, or maybe more,

I thought they'd stay, but they closed the door.

Feelings like rain, falling on my heart,

A letdown pain, tearing me apart.

In the puzzle of life, a missing piece,

A letdown moment, a sense of decrease.

But tomorrow's a new day, a chance to rebound,

To rise above the letdown, on solid ground.

So, in this sad chapter, a lesson I've found,

Sometimes we're let down, but strength can abound.

The sun may set, but it rises again,

A new day begins, with hope to regain.
