Shapes and colours
From the heart to a square
How do we fit a circle shape into a rectangle hole?
Can we do it? Very quickly the answer is a definite no.
Yet people do it constantly, pretty much all of the time,
Try to fit themselves to what doesn’t match them at all inside,
They plunge themselves into something that they believe that they should do,
To feel unhappy and uncertain, their dreams they don’t pursue,
Lowering their expectations to match in with the crowd,
They can’t understand why their soul cries out loud,
They suffer with depression and go deep into themselves,
Because the life they are living feels like a living hell,
But what they don’t see is they are trapped by their own mind,
To never see outside the box - their own fate they have signed,
All it takes is to change their outer world perspective,
To take one step is all it takes to get into the next bit,
They don’t realise that the choice is fully theirs to make,
But they stay and grind and do the things that from their souls take,
Feeling weary and drained they can’t see what is wrong,
As buried underneath they can’t see what is gone,
They need to go within and see what is deep inside,
What they have held secretly buried under the tide,
Like a torrent it will flow from their very core,
A sweet embrace of passion renewed life once more,
So never let yourself be pigeonholed you have to constantly strive,
always keep your dreams fulfilled, awake and alive,
As if we go back to the start do we dare,
We’d never fit our heart shape into a regular square.
