shake the strings away

mothers worry

Watch out for the world,

It's no good

I know you'll get in trouble

You always could

If you know what's best for you

You'll come home

I'll tie you to my apron strings

We can live our life alone

Mother knows whats best for you

That's what you use to say.

Sorry mum,This time

I'm going to,shake the strings away.

I'm going to shake the strings away

I won't hang on no more

You will find tomorrow

I'll get along

Maybe it won't be the same

I know i'll get by

I'm going to shake the srings away

And live my own life.

Every thing you did for me

Came staight from your heart

But now i'v found a man i want

I feel it could be love

Shake the strings away, don't hang on no more

You'll find tomorrow

I'll get along

Maybe it's not the same

But i know i'll get by

I'm going to shake the strings away and live my own life.
