when you start to see
the forest for the trees
amid the branches tangled by the chaos
of the wind
you will know
the depths below
are only tangled roots
that hold you in
what goes up
must come down
the light that grows
also slows
the reach below the ground
push and pull
it takes it's toll
and entropy will win
but not for good
it's understood
it will all begin again
This poem brings light to what we already know, it's in our bones, our deep understanding of how the world works around us. There are many ways to describe this duality, and I enjoy putting words together in new ways when thinking about how everything works around me. How I work inside, physically, and in my consciousness.
