Senses And More: Becoming

A Combo Poem.

Sequentially my fingers trace around your hardened heart, risking the splinters to feel your hurt. My touch only stirs shivers, so you turn to run out, an unremitting outcast caught up in loves fate-ful drought

I believe that the apple is rotten, right down to the core, fate tried to warn me as I opened that door. The smell went from sweet to, I can't take anymore, still I cut away pieces and collect them off the floor

The taste is familiar, yet I really can't tell, if it's safe for partaking, so I lie to myself. My mind darts back fondly to days I could not get enough, but those days are over and packed away on the shelf

I once believed what you told me, hung on your every word. But words without action just makes everything worse. The key to believing is lost to me now, I've got to move forward - someway, somehow

I can't see the path unless I close my eyes, if I see your face I might give you one more try. But the truth is, my senses have known all along, we are no good together, it's time that I am reborn
