Senses Ablaze
A Journey Through Words and Senses Inspired by Classic Poets
Amidst the fields of daffodils,
I wandered, with senses so thrilled.
The sight of golden petals dance,
And sweet fragrance that made me trance.
Inspired by Wordsworth's verse, I sought
To find beauty, in all that I caught.
With each sense, a world anew,
A kaleidoscope of life's view.
Like Arnold, standing on Dover Beach,
The sound of waves within my reach.
The sea's vastness, an endless sight,
The sound of its rhythm, pure delight.
Like Burns' rose, red as fire,
The taste of love, I do desire.
A sweet nectar that makes me smile,
A flavor that lingers for a while.
Eliot's world, so bleak and cold,
A sensory overload, so bold.
The scent of decay, a bitter pill,
A taste so sour, it makes one ill.
And in Frost's woods, so dark and deep,
The senses come alive, as if in sleep.
The crisp air, a cool delight,
The sound of snow, a hushed goodnight.
With every sense, a world we see,
A symphony of life's melody.
So let us wander, with senses aglow,
And see the beauty in all that we know.
